Here I am sitting on Boxing Day evening enjoying a glass of bubbles reflecting on the past couple of days. Christmas with my family was wonderful, the first with our darling angel Mathilde. I sat up christmas eve til 11pm finishing off Hazel and Maizies dresses, having already finished Tilly's and Isabella's. I had quickly wipped one up for myself during the day made from an old sheet. It was just a rough one to see what it would be like. It's pretty good, very comfy great for wearing on these hot summer days especially to the beach over the bathers. So there you go I can make them for us grown up girls, not from vintage pillowcases though. Will have to go out to Seworld and get some lovely fabrics for us grown up girls. Oh and for the lovely pregnant girls out there, fantastic for you too, lots of space for growing tums :)

Hope you all had a great christmas

WOW how about this fantastic rain! Just what we need. Nothing better than having a rainy day as an excuse to stay indoors and get crafty (and do some housework). I have shelved making anymore dresses for the moment, even though I do have some lovely new pillowcases. I need to focus on finishing off Hazel and Maizies dresses for xmas and some other wonderful little crafty items I am making for xmas presents.

I cant wait though til next week when I can finish my xmas shopping. Hunting the City Mission and Recycled Relics for items for my family. It is going to be very very hard not to indulge and get myself something!!

Oh so cute in her little red dress!

Well I did it , here are my dresses. All these are made from pillowcases, yes thats right pillowcases. I would love to say that the idea was mine but alas it was not. Min from Content in Launceston put me onto them at Etsy.com
But I did not find any made from vintage fabrics. I am trying to use only recycled fabrics and ribbons, but am finding that a bit difficult. I managed to get some ribbons from my grandmother recently which was lovely as she passed away the following week. So I am using lovely satin ribbons and some really great cotton ones. Well I am feeling very very tired, being an earth mother is quite exhausting :)
Have a great day

Welcome

Hello everyone and welcome to my first Blog. This is so exciting, I am so happy to have this started and am looking forward to showing you all my gorgeous little girls Vintage pillowcase dresses. The dresses are made from vintage pillowcase that I source from op shops around Launceston (which I have so much fun doing).
Please bear with me I will have photos as soon as I get off here and take the photos. My beautiful models will be my niece Cyrah and my daughter Mathilde.
